January Is Moving

Normally, the off-season here, December through early-March, is offset by commercial shoots. This year, 2020, the residential market kicked off with a boom.

Too early to tell if it’s just a short spurt, but the January schedule for shoots was almost filled with residential clients, carrying into early February.

Another week or two will tell if this was just an unusual early-season spurt, or whether its more indicative of the season to come.

Articles like WSJ’s Falling Rates Could Boost Mortgages Ahead of Spring Selling Season suggest a positive season. With rates like 3.45%, it certainly won’t be interest rates that constrain market activity.
